Description
The high containment passbox with inflatable seal doors, also referred to as a pass-through or hatch, is an important piece of equipment that allows equipment and materials to be transferred between two zones with differing cleanliness levels or classes. It prevents contamination during equipment transfer.
- The passbox casing and doors comprise a sealed welded assembly
- Inside casing in 304 L stainless steel, satin finish, polished, 220 grain
- Outside casing in electrogalvanized steel with powder coating (thickness 80 microns), anti-corrosion coating as per RAL colour chart
- Airtightness ensured by an inflatable seal – EPDM or silicone seal on all 4 sides of the single-piece frame
- Door handle in 316 L stainless steel
- Stainless steel flush hinges with roller bearings
- Dual-flush oculus, 90% vision panel
- Inflatable seal powered by an integrated hose connection between the frame and leaf
- The frame contains stainless steel airtight units that house the control panels
- Sound and thermal insulation with expanded rockwool core M0 (density 130 kg/m3) or non-combustible aluminium honeycomb core (optional)
- Leakage rate under positive and negative pressure: 0 m3/h at 30 Pa (according to lab tightness test)
- Inflatable seal operating pressure: 2.5 bars
Door interlock controlled by a programmable micro-PLC, including piezo button or contactless sensor opening control, locking by suction pad
